Powerful Abortion-Survivor Testimony and Facts about Planned Parenthood

Gianna Jessen has a powerful testimony as a survivor of abortion. She clears up a lot of disinfo about Planned Parenthood and I'd recommend watching and learning from her experience and continued research as an activist.

Following are five myths perpetuated about Planned Parenthood and abortion and the facts that address the disinfo. Many, many people have been fooled by Planned Parenthood and the issues at hand. It warrants going through each point one by one to understand and confront the propaganda.

Myth 1:  No US abortions are funded publicly.
Facts: Public Medicaid provides abortions. “...seventeen states fund abortions for low-income women on the same or similar terms as other pregnancy-related and general health services.” https://www.aclu.org/other/public-funding-abortion

And PP provides legal attacks to increase this number, Mississippi being the latest.

Clinton wants all states to provide taxpayer funding for abortions: “The new platform approved last month in Philadelphia, however, is explicit: “We will continue to oppose—and seek to overturn—federal and state laws and policies that impede a woman’s access to abortion, including by repealing the Hyde Amendment.””

Myth 2: Planned Parenthood (PP) aims only to provide health and safety in "women's reproductive healthcare."
Facts: Video interviews from Live Action show that prenatal care is basically non-existent with PP, when compared to the numbers as an abortion mill:  https://youtu.be/ZDHyy9yCerg

Giving natural birth and offering a child for adoption is safer for the mother and there is less possible depression associated with this. Click on PP's website and the word "adoption" is hardly noticeable. Click on the "Facts on Abortion" link and you will not see the FACT that natural birth is safer than abortion and the FACT that there is less depression associated with natural birth and adoption. https://www.plannedparenthood.org/  For sake of posterity, I've made webclips showing this:

Instead of offering comparative facts of safety, there is an attempt to normalize abortion at their "Facts on Abortion" page: “Abortions are very common. In fact, 3 out of 10 women in the U.S. have an abortion by the time they are 45 years old.” While PP does on occasion refer women to adoption agencies, this is the exception and not the norm.

Try to use some critical thinking here.

1) Giving natural birth and offering an adoption is safer than having an abortion.
2) Planned Parenthood does not offer any adoption services at their website and promotes abortion in general.
3) Therefore, Planned Parenthood is not acting with regard to the safety and health of the mother.

Myth 3: Planned Parenthood has no agenda other than the health and safety of women.
Facts: Point 2 shows that women's health and safety is NOT the goal of Planned Parenthood. So what is the agenda? There are at least three underlying motives that can be ascribed to the heavy promotion of abortion over adoption.

A) Feminism and Secularism. Not only is abortion normalized, it is normalized in conjunction with an agenda to get young women to see promiscuous sex as normal and abortion as the normal solution.

“Not only did Planned Parenthood help direct this conference through the steering committee, but its 2012 tax form shows that it gave $20,000 to SisterSong. This is not about sexuality education. It's about sexual chaos, about sexual license and the “remedy” of abortion—the taking of the lives of innocent human beings in the name of human rights.”

Hillary Clinton, as funded by PAC PP,  promotes the gruesome partial-birth abortions and abortions up to the minute of natural birth. She is on record stating that secularism must prevail over religious conscience: "And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed."

B) Population Reduction and Eugenics.  If a person believed that one race was inferior or that the population must be reduced, she would be more likely to recommend an abortion as "reproductive healthcare" - rather than explaining that abortions are more dangerous than adoptions and that people are waiting on lists to adopt. Here is are quotes from Margaret Sanger as the founder of Planned Parenthood promoting eugenics and racism:

"[We should] apply a stern and rigid policy of sterilization and segregation to that grade of population whose progeny is tainted, or whose inheritance is such that objectionable traits may be transmitted to offspring."

"We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."

C) Profits. Though technically a “non-profit,” there are abortion profit quotas and Planned Parenthood is making a surplus profit of $127Million.

Candid videos of Planned Parenthood representatives discussing the monetary compensation of fetal tissue revealed an apparent profit motive, among four laws broken. The videos were heavily edited and for this reason, were not considered as legally valid for evidence against PP. But these were actual representatives of PP making statements that did indicate that they were breaking four laws. Article: “Stop the spin: A step-by-step look at the four laws Planned Parenthood broke” helps to clarify how four laws were broken. For example, Dr. Deborah Nucatola offered in a video that it was “reasonable” to have a little extra profit:

“I think for affiliates…they want to break even. And if they can do a little better than break even, and do so in a way that seems reasonable, they’re happy to do that.”

Live Action shows video interviews of workers explaining abortion quotas for profit: https://youtu.be/mkxUAR3a_Jc

Myth 4: Abortion is only 3% of what Planned Parenthood does. This myth is misinformation is best addressed with a video on this subject:

Myth 5: Aborted fetus does not feel pain.
Facts: “The neural pathways are present for pain to be experienced quite early by unborn babies,” explains Steven Calvin, M.D., perinatologist, chair of the Program in Human Rights Medicine, University of Minnesota, where he teaches obstetrics. And don't forget the emotional pain and scars of the mother. "A study of the medical records of 56,741 California Medicaid patients revealed that women who had abortions were 160 percent more likely than delivering women to be hospitalized for psychiatric treatment in the first 90 days following abortion or delivery."

For the above reasons, any Christian should probably reconsider if they support Planned Parenthood and the agenda of Hillary Clinton. Just because a law is a law, such as the legalization of abortion, does not mean that the law is just or ethical. Slavery used to be legal in the U.S. also.
